Dear Eric

Thinking of you is always special
but at this time of year
our thoughts are full of sadness.
We wish you had been able to have
more time in which to experience
happiness and peace after the long
years of struggle.
But we know you are safe from all harm now.
We are grateful for your life,
for the strength we can find
in your courage and gentleness.
