In Loving
Menory of Eric
on the Fortieth Anniversary of September 28, 1966

September 28th 1966 is a date we will never forget.
It is hard to believe that the weeks have rolled by and that
it is 40 years since the shock of that bleak day.
We have entered a new millennium and a new century,
but our memories if Eric will be strong - always,
no matter how many decades pass.
It is heartbreaking that Eric died so tragically
just on the brink of realizing his dreams after
all the years of constant hardship and struggle.
We can't help but think, "If only..."
If only Eric had been able to have time in which to enjoy
a new life on the beautiful islands of Hawaii that meant
so much to him. Time to put down some roots and find peace
time in which to write. It would have been good to be able to
know more about him; to be able to share his thoughts through
books written by him.
If only....
A great part of Eric's life was very painful, emotionally and
physically - but his brave spirit rose above all the hurt to
leave an inspiring light, still shining through the years.
We owe our own friendship to Eric - a strong and precious
bond for which we are grateful.
Eric, you are a great source of comfort and a bright star
for us. You are very much loved, and will be - always.
Shirley and Barbara
Never forget that love is stronger than death.
